We recently have had a few customers who are using computer-based modem and compatible TAP software with OpenTAP and they have been having trouble dialling up and sending messages via our OpenTAP dial-up access numbers.
Some times for some reason with some customers modems and their software it will not work properly with the PARITY setting of NONE (NULL). Try changing the PARITY setting to TRUE (EVEN). This should resolve the issue, however, our system does support all formats. It seems to be a localised issue with some users computer-based software and modems.
