DIDcomms supports SIP phone registration on all customer accounts. Connect any SIP-compatible softphone, IP handset, or PBX system to receive inbound calls directly on your DIDcomms virtual number — and make outbound calls showing your DIDcomms number as the caller ID.
SIP forwarding works with any standards-compliant SIP client. Popular choices include Zoiper (free on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android), Linphone (free and open-source), Grandstream and Yealink IP handsets, and any Asterisk or FreeSWITCH PBX. DIDcomms uses PJSIP over UDP on port 5060. To register, log into the customer portal, enable the SIP phone feature, and copy your SIP credentials into your client — registration usually completes within seconds.
